On a lovely, warm Wednesday evening, we gathered on the Backs for our annual summer drinks. The sun shone and the sky was blue as we caught up with friends and colleagues over a glass of something cold. News was shared and current affairs discussed in the sunshine with plenty of snacks – sweet and savoury! It was great to also see some new faces.

With our main programme of events still taking place online, it was a perfect opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues in person over a glass of something cold. News was shared in the sunshine with plenty of snacks, sweet and savoury! Thanks to everyone who came along, particularly those who contributed biscuits and cakes!
We held our annual summer drinks on the Backs this year and although the evening began with a torrential downpour forcing us to seek shelter under the trees, the skies did brighten and we were able to sit on our picnic blankets and raise a glass to all things archives!
It was a great opportunity to catch up with people we hadn’t seen in person for a long time and to chat about our current projects and goings on in our archives.
